PRESSING

PRESSING removes minor defects from comic books such as dents, non-color breaking folds, bends, waviness and spine roll, warping, rippling caused from moisture damage. Removing these defects can often raise the grade increasing the value of the book. The effect can be dramatic, with books sometimes improving multiple grades. Look at our before & after photos and you will see book’s jump up a full grade or more which increased its value substantially.

Pressing can be considered an art form. Pressing techniques vary between Golden, Silver, Copper and Modern Age books. Books that have glossy covers, thicker stock, different color pages. Proper pressing lies in the hands of a experienced presser and the results will be mind blowing if in the right experienced hands.
